A happy family in its own way - strange to outsiders, full of love up close. At its centre is Armony, a 55-year-old truck driver who is only truly comfortable in solitude. After his sister’s disappearance, he is forced to care for his six-year-old niece, Carlotta, alongside his chosen family: Pamela, an older transgender woman, and Jenny, his young, pregnant neighbour. Their fragile happiness is threatened when social services move to take Carlotta away, forcing Armony to confront a difficult journey to fight for legal custody.
